China's Jingdezhen Handicraft Porcelain Industry Sites added to UNESCO World Heritage List

The Jingdezhen Handicraft Porcelain Industry Sites were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List during the 48th session of the World Heritage Committee on July 25 in Busan, South Korea, making it China's 61st World Heritage site. Participants at the event congratulated the achievement. Ren Youqun, vice-minister of education and chairperson of the Chinese National Commission for UNESCO, stated that porcelain is a treasure of Chinese culture, a key symbol of Chinese civilization, and a cultural gem shared globally. This inscription not only signifies international recognition of China's heritage preservation efforts but also demonstrates China's valuable contributions and experiences in global heritage conservation, he said.
