China opposes new US tariffs: FM spokesman

Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian reiterated China's opposition to all forms of unilateral tariff measures on Friday, following a fresh round of US tariffs targeting 60 of its trading partners.

Speaking at a regular news briefing in Beijing, Lin said China's position on China-US economic and trade issues has been consistent and clear.

"China opposes all forms of unilateral tariff measures," he said. "Tariff and trade wars serve the interests of neither side," he said.
