Evolved robots reshape daily life
Intelligent machines transform, take on everyday tasks
At the inaugural Beijing E-Town robot soccer 3V3 AI competition in 2025, neither remote control nor human intervention was allowed. The robots relied entirely on autonomous decision-making, showcasing cutting-edge capabilities in motion control, visual perception, and multi-robot collaboration. In other events, be it boxing, sprinting, or other track and field competitions, robots fell, got back up, and iterated their performance through trial and error — turning the experiences into real-world capability.
Robots have also stepped gently into the rhythms of daily life. In Shenzhen, Guangdong, a robot "traffic police officer" stands at busy intersections, directing vehicles with precision. In Chengdu, Sichuan province, a small robot-run convenience store offers quick and friendly service. At the foot of Wudang Mountain, Hubei province, exoskeleton robots help tourists climb steep paths with ease, turning a physically demanding journey into a comfortable experience. Technology is empowering and inclusive.
