State Grid Zibo: Powering industry, serving the people

Volunteers from State Grid Zibo Power Supply Company visited Shandong Haiming New Materials Co., Ltd. in Maqiao town, Huantai county, Shandong province on July 22, to provide energy services and help ensure stable summer production.

As a key player in Shandong's drive to transition from old to new growth drivers, Shandong Haiming New Materials required additional power for its production expansion. The volunteer team conducted an on-site assessment, optimized the power supply plan, and completed a dedicated 10-kilovolt transmission line — energizing it ahead of schedule and giving the company a strong boost in output and efficiency.

As the birthplace of the "Shanxiao" volunteer team brand, State Grid Zibo Power Supply Company has been expanding the team's mission for the new era. It now advances six key volunteer initiatives from safeguarding community livelihoods to empowering industrial chains.

In the local Lianze Garden community, an aging residential compound in Zhangdian district, Shanxiao volunteers went door to door inspecting deteriorating wiring and creating electricity safety profiles for each household.

In Zichuan Economic Development Zone, the team introduced an innovative service package — dynamic peak/off-peak optimization combined with preventive equipment testing — helping enterprises cut electricity costs and raise productivity.

In addition, the company has formed a "Shanxiao" brand promotion team. Its members visit communities and villages to share the stories unfolding on the front lines of power service, extending the brand's reach and influence.
