Calligraphers craft handwritten admissions letters at Shaanxi Normal University in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, on Tuesday. The university has upheld the tradition of handwritten admission letters for 20 years since 2007. This year, 10 senior calligraphy masters, averaging over 72 years old, participated, with the oldest being 84 and four having contributed for more than a decade. QIAN GUANG/FOR CHINA DAILY
