Killapanage Don Parakum Shantha, mayor of Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia, Sri Lanka, said at the Global Mayors Dialogue that Xishuangbanna has developed within the rainforest while preserving its ecological environment. He hopes to bring Xishuangbanna's development philosophy and experience back to Sri Lanka.
