Capacity-building program equips professionals from developing countries for AI-powered trade

The conversation around AI moved from theory to practice in Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on Tuesday.

As one of the capacity-building programs under the 2026 World Internet Conference Digital Silk Road Development Forum, the Capacity Building on AI-Driven Digital Trade event has gathered officials and industry leaders from various developing countries.

Focusing on global governance, government regulation and industry practice, the program explored major issues in AI-driven digital trade, including inclusiveness, regulatory compliance and real-world applications.
