BEIJING -- Premier Li Qiang held talks with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, who is in China to attend the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and pay a working visit, in Beijing on Thursday.

Noting that China and Cambodia are good partners for common development and share an unbreakable ironclad friendship, Li said China is willing to work with Cambodia to further advance the in-depth and tangible progress in the "Diamond Hexagon" cooperation framework, the development of the Industrial Development Corridor and the Fish and Rice Corridor, ensure the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects, and continue to expand the scale of bilateral trade.

China supports more competent Chinese enterprises to invest in Cambodia, and will deepen cooperation in emerging sectors including new energy, artificial intelligence, digital economy and advanced manufacturing, to jointly foster and strengthen new growth drivers for development, he added.

Li called for strengthening cooperation in people-to-people and cultural sectors, including education, culture and media.

The two sides should also work together to eradicate the breeding grounds for online gambling and telecom fraud to better protect the safety of the people of the two countries, Li said.

Hun Manet said no matter how the international situation changes, the Cambodian government will unswervingly pursue a friendly policy toward China and firmly abide by the one-China principle.

He added that Cambodia stands ready to work with China to maintain close high-level exchanges, promote exchanges and cooperation in sectors including trade, investment, infrastructure development, new energy, connectivity, and people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and strengthen law enforcement cooperation in combating online gambling and telecom fraud.

Cambodia stands ready to enhance multilateral coordination with China and promote global and regional peace, stability and development, he added.
