On Tuesday, China urged relevant countries not to act as geopolitical tools or as the accomplice of the United States government to spread disinformation of China's cyberattack.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian made the remarks after the United States and Paraguay announced last week that they detected multiple threats linked to China that had infiltrated Paraguayan government service systems.

With geopolitical motivations, Washington has rallied regional countries multiple times to slander Beijing under the pretext of cybersecurity, Lin said, adding that China strongly deplores and firmly rejects this.
