1 killed, 4 wounded in US raid on southern Iran: media

TEHRAN - At least one person was killed and four others wounded in an overnight attack by the United States on Iran's southern Bandar-e Mahshahr County, Khuzestan Province, the official news agency IRNA reported on Monday.

A US projectile struck an agricultural water pumping station in the county, IRNA quoted Valiollah Hayati, Khuzestan's deputy governor for security and law enforcement affairs, as saying.

He identified the victim as the facility's guard, while those wounded are receiving medical treatment.

According to IRNA, several other counties in Khuzestan were also struck by the US forces early Monday.
