Shandong's Jining promotes regional robotics hub at innovation event
The three-day "Robotics +" Innovation and Development Conference kicked off on Saturday in Zoucheng, a city administered by Jining, Shandong province, showcasing the latest advancements across real-world applications.
The conference brought together 165 leading companies covering home life, medical care, smart manufacturing, agriculture, emergency rescue, smart education, and other scenarios. It included a supply-demand matchmaking event that brought together over 100 representatives from robotics companies, industry institutions, universities, and financial bodies. Industrial investments and cooperative partnerships between enterprises and academic institutions were signed during the opening ceremony.
Local government departments took the opportunity to promote the region's industrial resources, computing power services, and talent development policies as evidence of its capabilities as a center for the robotics industry.
In recent years, Jining has worked to establish itself as a nationally influential robotics industry hub. The city has formed clusters in engineering machinery, energy chemicals, modern agriculture, and commercial logistics to create a complete industry chain and a testing ground for robotics.
According to local authorities, the number of companies linked to the robotics industry chain in Jining has reached 92.
