More than 2,000 exhibits, over 150 product launches expected at 2026 World Robot Conference
The 2026 World Robot Conference will be held from August 19 to 23 in Beijing, as China steps up push to accelerate the development of robotics industry, organizers of the conference said on Tuesday.
This year's conference will feature more than 2,000 exhibits and over 150 new product launches — a 20 percent increase from last year. The event will debut four thematic days for the first time and introduce a robot consumer street, according to the China Electronics Society, which organizes the event.
"The proportion of international speakers at the main forum has reached 30 percent. More than 300 enterprises will participate in the expo, a 36 percent increase year-on-year, with over 2,000 exhibits expected — up 27 percent — and more than 150 new products making their debut, a 21 percent rise," Zhao Yunfeng, vice-chairman and secretary-general of the China Electronics Society, said.
The conference's international network continues to expand, with support from nearly 30 global institutions, including the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, the International Federation of Robotics, and the World Federation of Engineering Organizations.
Xu Xiaolan, chairwoman of the China Electronics Society, noted that China has remained the world's largest industrial robot market for 13 consecutive years, with domestic brands now accounting for over 50 percent of the domestic market share.
China has established a complete humanoid robot industry chain encompassing materials, core components, whole-machine integration, scenario operations, and data services. In 2025, the country accounted for 90 percent of global humanoid robot shipments with more than 330 product models.
