Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh has highly praised a China-built central wastewater treatment plant in Ulaanbaatar, calling it a symbol of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Mongolia and a testament to the friendship between the two peoples.

Inspecting and guiding work on June 30 at the Ulaanbaatar Central Sewage Treatment Plant, which was constructed by China Railway No 4 Engineering Group Co Ltd (CREC4), Khurelsukh examined the plant's major treatment units and received a detailed briefing on its construction process, technical standards, and operational status.

Officially put into operation on June 15 this year, the plant is a key cooperation project between China and Mongolia, using Chinese standards and technology, said Ni Ming, a CREC4 staffer.
