WASHINGTON -- The US Navy is searching for a missing helicopter crew member after an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter made an emergency water landing in the Arabian Sea on Wednesday morning, US naval forces said.
"There is no indication the emergency was caused by hostile action," the US Naval Forces Central Command wrote on X.
The helicopter, assigned to the USS George H.W. Bush aircraft carrier, conducted the emergency water landing at 3:30 am U. S. Eastern Time (0730 GMT) on Wednesday, the command said.
Three of the helicopter's four crew members were recovered in stable condition, while the fourth remains missing, the command said, adding that the cause of the incident is under investigation.
