Airport sees record cross-border trips
The number of inbound and outbound passenger trips this year via Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in South China's Guangdong province exceeded 10 million as of Wednesday, according to Guangzhou Customs. This figure represents a year-on-year increase of over 21 percent, hitting a record high for the same period and reaching the 10-million threshold one month earlier than in 2025. The robust growth is mainly thanks to continuous optimization of the airport's air route network, the customs said.

Eliminating risks of flood damage
Chinese railway operators are busy eliminating hidden dangers on rail lines in preparation for the flood season. As June is the 25th national safe production month, the Wan'an station under Jiexiu Depot of China Railway Taiyuan Group prioritized flood control, asking staff to inspect rail tracks, drainage facilities and their surrounding environment. They cut down select trees along the line and trimmed invasive branches, reducing the risk of disruption. The station also updated the emergency response skills of employees.
