State Grid Tacheng secures summer power supply with efficient maintenance
Since the start of summer, temperatures in the service area have continued to rise, and electricity demand for both production and daily life has steadily increased. To ensure safe and reliable power supply during the summer, State Grid Tacheng Power Supply Company organized a concentrated maintenance operation on the 10-kilovolt Habu Line's 071 branch from June 11 to 12.
The company has conducted a comprehensive "health check and defect rectification" of power grid equipment to effectively enhance the public’s sense of security and satisfaction regarding electricity supply.
This operation adopted a coordinated model combining "live-line preparatory work" with "power-out maintenance", with the aim of minimizing the impact of line maintenance on the daily lives of residents along the route, business operations, and normal electricity use for agricultural production.
At the work site, staff members from the Tacheng Company strictly adhered to safety protocols, implementing control measures such as pre-shift safety briefings and on-site supervision. They methodically carried out the live-line splicing of flexible cables, meticulously controlling the splicing process and safety distances, and efficiently completed the core live-line connection work.
At the same time, other tasks — such as the deployment of flexible cables for medium-voltage power generation vehicles and the installation of safety barriers — were carried out simultaneously on-site. These measures ensured an uninterrupted backup power supply during maintenance, achieving "zero disruption" to customers' electricity use throughout the maintenance period.
"This concentrated maintenance further optimized the power grid structure in our service area, effectively enhancing the reliability of line power supply and peak load-carrying capacity, thereby providing a solid power guarantee for the daily lives of local residents and the production and operations of local enterprises," said Wen Ping, foreman of the Live-Line Work Team at State Grid Tacheng Power Supply Company.
Moving forward, Tacheng Power Supply Company will continue to prioritize safety in ensuring power supply during the peak summer demand period. The company will routinely conduct drone inspections of key power lines and heavily loaded transformer districts, carry out special infrared temperature measurement patrols, and monitor nighttime load levels. It will also establish a closed-loop management system for tracking and resolving potential hazards, safeguarding the comfort of households with stable, high-quality power supply and supporting the steady operation of the local economy.
