Fiscal revenue growth improves
China's general public budget revenue rose 4 percent year-on-year in the first five months of 2026, official data showed, pointing to continued improvement in fiscal revenue. Revenue totaled 10.0465 trillion yuan ($1.48 trillion) during the January-May period, according to data released by the Ministry of Finance.
Coal transport capacity increased
Chinese railway operators have optimized capacity in order to bolster coal transport used for power generation. The Taiyuan Railway Logistics Center of China Railway Taiyuan Group has formed a team that will manage capacity growth. With employees visiting coal mines within its jurisdiction, the center gathered data on coal reserves, production capacity, loading capabilities and shipping cycles. With tailored transport solutions, it maximized local coal resources. Since early June, it has completed 92,512 coal shipments totaling 6.362 million metric tons, providing robust transport support for stable power supply.
