Xi's article highlights education, sci-tech, talent
An article by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, on advancing the integrated development of education, science and technology, and talent was published on Tuesday.
The article by Xi, who is also Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, was published in this year's 12th issue of the Qiushi Journal, a flagship magazine of the CPC Central Committee.
The article comprises excerpts of Xi's discourses from December 2012 to April 2026. It stresses that education, science and technology, and talent are both the foundational and strategic pillars needed for building a modern socialist country in all respects.
Top political adviser meets Nepali foreign minister
China's top political adviser Wang Huning met with Nepali Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal in Beijing on Tuesday.
Wang, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, said that China is ready to work with Nepal, under the strategic guidance of the leaders of both countries, to maintain high-level exchanges and deepen practical cooperation.
Khanal said that Nepal will never allow any force to use Nepali territory for anti-China activities.
