Telecom sector expands opening-up
China is steadily expanding the opening-up of the telecom sector, with 166 foreign-funded enterprises having received approvals for pilot operations in value-added telecom services since the first batch of such approvals was issued in February 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said. These enterprises can legally provide value-added telecom services throughout China, including internet data center services, internet access services and information services.
China cuts retail prices of gasoline, diesel
China reduced its retail prices of gasoline and diesel on Friday, according to the country's top economic regulator. Gasoline prices were cut by 525 yuan ($77 ) per metric ton, and diesel prices dropped by 505 yuan per ton, according to the National Development and Reform Commission. Under the current pricing mechanism, refined oil product prices are adjusted based on fluctuations in international crude oil prices.
