Russian President Vladimir Putin begins his state visit to China on May 19 amid rising global security volatility.

China has been Russia's largest trading partner for 16 consecutive years, with bilateral trade exceeding $200 billion for three consecutive years. Beyond trade, cooperation is deepening in agriculture, and people-to-people exchanges.

Built on equality, mutual respect and non‑alliance, the China-Russia relationship does not target any third party. Together, the two countries work within the UN, SCO, and BRICS to counter unilateralism and advance multipolarity. A stable China-Russia partnership helps to uphold international rules and inject stability into a turbulent world.
