Charging piles to aid green travel in villages

The country's power operator has paid attention to meeting the needs of new energy vehicles in rural regions. To ensure the stable operation of charging facilities in rural areas, State Grid Xuzhou has launched a special inspection on charging piles to facilitate green travel in Jiangsu province's rural areas. Company staff members have checked the charging pile shells, charging guns, cable interfaces and leakage protection devices item by item, covering public charging points and the self-use charging facilities of residents. Some drivers said it was inconvenient to charge their vehicles in the countryside previously, but it has become worry-free now with increased charging piles.

Yuan strengthens against greenback

The central parity rate of the Chinese currency renminbi, or the yuan, strengthened 41 pips to 6.8426 against the US dollar on Tuesday, according to the China Foreign Exchange Trade System. In China's spot foreign exchange market, the yuan is allowed to rise or fall by 2 percent from the central parity rate each trading day. The central parity rate of the yuan against the dollar is based on a weighted average of prices offered by market makers before the opening of the interbank market each business day.
