Shangsi Festival: A poetic spring ritual

The third day of the third month in the Chinese lunar calendar marks the traditional Shangsi Festival, echoing the vitality and blossoming of life in spring.

By the waterside, ancient rituals cleanse away misfortune and welcome good fortune. Scholars write poetry while enjoying wine that flows along winding streams, and they sit in the spring breeze, playing chess and contemplating the universe.

Wishing you health and prosperity, simple joys, and a heart that renews with the spirit of spring!
