Mozambique's president to visit China
At the invitation of President Xi Jinping, Daniel Francisco Chapo, president of the Republic of Mozambique, will pay a state visit to China starting on Thursday, marking his first trip to China since assuming office last year.
According to Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun, during Chapo's visit, President Xi will hold a welcome ceremony and banquet for Chapo, and the two heads of state will hold talks.
Premier Li Qiang and top legislator Zhao Leji will also meet with Chapo, respectively.
In addition to Beijing, the weeklong visit will take Chapo to the provinces of Hunan and Qinghai, Guo announced at a daily news briefing in Beijing on Tuesday.
