KMT chairperson leads mainland visit after a decade

On April 8, Cheng Li-wun, chairwoman of the Chinese Kuomintang (KMT) party, led a KMT delegation to pay homage to the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum in Nanjing. This marks the first time in a decade that a KMT chairperson has led a delegation to the Chinese mainland.
At a time of growing global uncertainty, strengthening cross-Strait communication and cooperation, and maintaining peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait, reflect the shared aspirations of people on both sides.
