Having studied in China for years, this young German scholar discovered striking differences between Chinese and Western understandings of "governance": while the West prioritizes maintaining the status quo, China's governance philosophy is deeply rooted in its historical heritage and Marxist principles.

Confronted with the predicaments and upheavals of global development, he came to realize that "putting the people at the center" is far from an empty slogan. The remarkable achievement of lifting 800 million people out of poverty, along with the tangible improvements in people's lives such as installing elevators in old residential compounds for the elderly, serves as the most compelling testament. He is even more convinced that the vision of "a community with a shared future for humanity" holds the key to breaking the deadlock of hegemonic thinking and advancing common development across the globe.
