BEIJING -- China's Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday that the country is willing to work with the United States to properly manage differences, advance cooperation, and promote the stable, sound and sustainable development of bilateral economic and trade relations.

Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China and the United States held five rounds of economic and trade consultations in 2025 based on the principles of equality, mutual respect and mutual benefit, which yielded a series of positive outcomes, ministry spokesperson He Yongqian said at a regular press conference.

This has fully demonstrated that China and the United States can find ways to resolve economic and trade differences through equal dialogue and consultations, the spokesperson added.

Following a meeting between the two heads of state in Busan, both sides have maintained communication at all levels through the China-US economic and trade consultation mechanism and have jointly promoted the implementation of the important consensus reached by the two leaders, as well as the outcomes of the China-U.S. economic and trade consultation in Kuala Lumpur, according to the spokesperson.

Going forward, China is willing to work with the United States to uphold and implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, and make good use of the China-US economic and trade consultation mechanism, the spokesperson said.
