China confirms receiving US invitation for Board of Peace

The Foreign Ministry confirmed on Tuesday that Beijing has received Washington's invitation about joining the Board of Peace regarding the Gaza Strip.

US President Donald Trump said on Thursday that the Board of Peace for Gaza has been established and the board members will be announced shortly, Xinhua reported.

At the regular Foreign Ministry press conference held in Beijing on Tuesday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said: "China has received the invitation from the US side."
