KUALA LUMPUR -- Malaysia's High Court on Friday ruled that former Prime Minister Najib Razak was found guilty on all charges, including four counts of abuse of power and 21 counts of money laundering, in a case related to 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

The High Court delivered its long-awaited verdict in Najib's trial, capping more than seven years of courtroom battles. Trial judge Justice Collin Lawrence Sequerah announced that the former prime minister has been found guilty on all four charges of misappropriating 1MDB funds and 21 counts of money laundering, involving more than 2.2 billion ringgit ($544.15 million).

Najib is already serving time at Kajang Prison in connection with a separate SRC International case.
