Protectionism is a wall against progress

"Protectionism is a wall. It's a wall against change, but it's also a wall against progress," said Wolfgang Schussel, former chancellor of Austria, commenting on the protectionist policies emerging in today's world. He noted that such policies would lead to a lose-lose situation, and that what the global economy needs is open markets.
