Asian economic integration may become more issue-based, with countries collaborating more on subjects like climate change or digital trade, said Amitendu Palit, senior research fellow at the National University of Singapore's Institute of South Asian Studies. This approach could be more effective by bringing economies from Asia around a common theme, he said.
