Shanghai-based budget carrier Spring Airlines is set to become the first Chinese airline to operate a direct route between Shanghai and Ulan Bator, the capital of Mongolia.
Beginning on March 3, the Shanghai-Ulan Bator route will operate every Tuesday and Friday from Shanghai Pudong International Airport, with return flights from Ulan Bator on the same days.
Tickets are available for purchase on the official website of Spring Airlines and the airline's app.
The new route will reinforce Shanghai's role as a transportation hub for the Yangtze River Delta, China and the world. Its low-cost operation is expected to cut travel costs and time, as well as promoting tourism between the two destinations.
