Fashion brand launches new collection with moon as theme
Maison Pierre Cardin presented its 2026 spring/summer collection on Monday alongside the ceremony for the Pierre Cardin Young Designers Award (China) at the Guangzhou Opera House.
This season's collection takes the moon as its central theme. According to Rodrigo Basilicati Cardin, president of the company, the design team referenced the moon's surface and light variations to reinterpret classic elements from a contemporary perspective.
Cardin noted that showcasing the new collection in China is intended to encourage partners to explore future-oriented ideas and consider how the brand might evolve in response to broader shifts in the fashion industry.
Founded in 2022, the Pierre Cardin Young Designers Award (China) has run for three consecutive years. It has not only become an important platform for discovering rising design stars but has also subtly nurtured and propelled emerging Chinese talents onto the global stage.
