Li to hold dialogue with heads of intl economic agencies
Premier Li Qiang will hold the "1+10" Dialogue in Beijing on Tuesday with heads of major international economic organizations, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson said on Friday.
Li will hold the dialogue with President of the New Development Bank Dilma Rousseff, President of the World Bank Group Ajay Banga, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Kristalina Georgieva, Director-General of the World Trade Organization Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Secretary-General of the UN Conference on Trade and Development Rebeca Grynspan, Director-General of the International Labour Organization Gilbert F. Houngbo, General Manager of the Bank for International Settlements Pablo Hernandez de Cos, Chair of the Financial Stability Board Andrew Bailey, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank Jin Liqun, and Deputy Secretary-General of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development Frantisek Ruzicka, according to the spokesperson.
Greater efforts urged in energy conservation, carbon cuts
Premier Li Qiang presided over a State Council executive meeting on Friday, focusing on energy conservation and carbon reduction, enterprise-related administrative law enforcement and other key issues.
The meeting called for greater efforts to promote energy conservation and carbon reduction, which are vital to achieve China's carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals as well as boost green transition.
It reviewed progress in the special campaign to regulate enterprise-related administrative law enforcement, and adopted a draft supervision regulation to ensure law-based exercise of administrative power.
Top political adviser pays official visit to Indonesia
Top political adviser Wang Huning expressed China's willingness to strengthen alignment of development strategies with Indonesia during his official visit to the country from Wednesday to Thursday at the invitation of Ahmad Muzani, chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly of Indonesia.
Wang, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, met separately in Jakarta with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, Speaker of the House of Representatives Puan Maharani, Speaker of the Regional Representative Council Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin, and held talks with Muzani.
During his meeting with Prabowo, Wang said that China is ready to work with Indonesia to implement the important consensus reached between the two heads of state, and jointly pursue modernization paths suited to their respective national conditions.
Noting that Indonesia reaffirms its commitment to the one-China principle and that Taiwan is part of China, Prabowo said Indonesia sincerely admires China for its remarkable development achievements and is willing to learn from China's successful experience.
