Cosmetics firm donates 5m yuan to support fire rescue work in Hong Kong

The recent fire at Hung Fuk Court in Tai Po, Hong Kong, has deeply touched the hearts of people across the whole country. Following the fire, Maogeping Cosmetics Co Ltd attached great importance to the incident and announced a special donation of 5 million yuan ($707,049) to support the fire rescue operations in Tai Po. The funds will be used for the emergency resettlement of affected residents, medical assistance, and the guarantee of daily necessities, aiming to contribute to both the fire rescue work and post-disaster reconstruction.

Mao Geping, chairman of the company, expressed profound sorrow for the compatriots who lost their lives in the fire, extended sincere condolences to the affected families, and paid high tribute to every firefighter and rescue worker who fulfilled their duties faithfully. He emphasized that the company will work together with all sectors of society and provide all possible support to help the affected compatriots tide over the difficulties and rebuild their homes as soon as possible.
