State Grid Xuzhou Power Supply Company ensures safe electricity supply for heating enterprises in winter

Recently, staff from State Grid Xuzhou Power Supply Company inspected the heating equipment area at Fengming Thermal Power Company, checking power line joints temperatures and distribution equipment parameters to promptly address potential hazards.

Xuzhou, rich in thermal energy resources, is the only city in the Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai region with centralized heating. According to the revised "Xuzhou Municipal Central Heating Regulations," the heating period for residents typically runs from Nov 21 to March 10, depending on weather conditions.

Ahead of the heating season, State Grid Xuzhou Power Supply Company launched a power supply guarantee action, forming a dedicated task force to ensure stable heating. A comprehensive power supply security plan was developed, and the company deployed staff to visit major heating enterprises throughout the city. These visits focused on checking power supply lines, distribution systems, and emergency backup power sources to identify and mitigate risks. The company also proactively prepared for winter load increases and adverse weather impacts by establishing emergency coordination mechanisms with major heating enterprises. The company also provides round-the-clock technical support and emergency services to ensure the safe and stable operation of heating equipment. Additionally, the company utilizes the "Energy Big Data Center" to help heating enterprises monitor electricity usage, analyze consumption trends, and enhance operational efficiency and power supply reliability.
As of now, State Grid Xuzhou Power Supply Company has completed the first round of electricity inspections for major heating enterprises in the city, eliminating over 30 potential hazards.
