Top political adviser calls for advancing Sino-German ties
China's top political adviser Wang Huning on Tuesday expressed the nation's readiness to work with Germany to advance the China-Germany all-round strategic partnership to a higher level and promote the development of China-European Union relations.
Wang, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, made the remarks when meeting with a German Social Democratic Party delegation, led by Lars Klingbeil, co-chairman of the SPD.
Klingbeil, who is also Germany's vice-chancellor and federal minister of finance, said that Berlin would like to promote pragmatic cooperation with Beijing in various fields and strengthen mutual understanding.
Collaboration stressed to promote railway link with Europe
China is willing to work with all parties to strengthen communication and cooperation and promote the China-Europe Railway Express to achieve new development, in order to better facilitate economic and trade exchanges and mutual learning in Eurasia, Vice-Premier Ding Xuexiang said on Tuesday.
Ding made the remarks at the second China Railway Express Cooperation Forum in Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi province.
