Li Nan, consul general of China in Belfast, said in his welcoming speech that the forum is set to consolidate cooperation between China and the UK at a higher level, injecting new momentum and positive energy into the sound and steady development of China–UK relations. He also noted that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Chinese consul general in Belfast.
