The local rail operator in Jinzhong, Shanxi province enhanced passenger services amid the national trend of seeking higher-quality growth across sectors. In the city, Yuci Railway Station launched 15 measures to this end, such as adding green channels and security checks to facilitate priority check-ins, and setting up mobile phone charging piles in the reception hall. An "emergency safe escort" team was also formed to aid passengers such as the elderly, children, the sick, pregnant and people with disabilities.

Recycled nonferrous metals on growth track

The recycled nonferrous metals industry has posted rapid growth during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), with the annual production of recycled nonferrous metals expected to reach 20 million metric tons this year, according to the latest data released at a recent industry convention in Chengdu, Sichuan province. The domestic output of recycled nonferrous metals reached 19.15 million tons in 2024, the data showed.
