State Grid Luohe ensures reliable power for 'Double 11' Logistics
As the "Double 11" shopping festival approached, the Party member service team from the Zhaoling Power Supply Office of the Chengdong Branch of State Grid Luohe Power Supply Company visited the Ruideshentong Logistics Transit Center on Nov 6 to inspect power supply equipment and provide technical guidance. "During Double 11, our center anticipates handling up to 4 million parcels per day. Your timely inspection significantly boost our confidence in maintaining stable power supply," stated Lü Qingjie, the centre's operations manager.
Located in Zhaoling district, this logistics hub is a crucial distribution and transit point for nine cities in southern central Henan, making Luohe the province's second-largest logistics hub. The district is home to 396 tax-paying logistics enterprises, including major express companies such as SF Express, STO, YTO, and Yunda, with a daily parcel throughput exceeding 10 million and annual freight turnover of 11.8 million tons. More than 1,300 transport vehicles and 526 dedicated transformers facilitate logistics operations, with current peak loads surpassing 300 MW, expected to reach over 400 MW during the Double 11 surge.
To ensure a reliable electricity supply for logistics enterprises, State Grid Luohe Power Supply Company has established a "Double 11 Power Supply Guarantee" Party Service Team. Starting Nov 5, team members have been conducting on-site inspections of power distribution facilities within logistics parks, monitoring load conditions, and checking backup power systems, wiring, firefighting facilities, safety equipment, and emergency devices. They also provide tailored technical guidance to address specific electricity needs and promptly resolve issues.
During the shopping festival, mobile emergency repair stations have been deployed within major logistics parks, ensuring 24-hour standby personnel, vehicles, and equipment for rapid response and efficient repair to eliminate any defects or hidden dangers.
"We're using drones and infrared thermography to inspect 10-kilovolt power lines and distribution facilities around logistics hubs," said a spokesperson from the Zhaoling Power Supply Office. "By identifying and fixing potential risks in advance and enhancing emergency readiness, we ensure reliable power supply so that packages can move smoothly across the logistics network during Double 11."
