Descendant of Flying Tigers: Never forget the horrors of war

The Flying Tigers, officially known as the American Volunteer Group of the Chinese Air Force, played a crucial role in helping China resist the Japanese invasion during World War II. Nowadays, statues of Claire Lee Chennault, commander of the Flying Tigers, can still be seen in many parts of China. 
Recently, Nell Chennault Calloway, granddaughter of Claire Lee Chennault, reflected on the legacy of the Flying Tigers. She remarked that "when people get further away from that history, they forget the horrors of war." She also emphasized that "it is harder to maintain peace than to fight a war", calling on us to do whatever it takes to prevent wars.
