The Frontier AI Models Forum, part of this year's World Internet Conference (WIC) Wuzhen Summit, was held in Zhejiang's water town on Saturday.

The forum brought together leading experts, scholars, and industry leaders from around the world to engage in in-depth discussions on key topics such as governance frameworks for frontier AI models, technological iteration and practical implementation, and the development of collaborative innovation ecosystems.

Under the theme "High-Level Security: Empowering the High-Quality Growth of the AI Model Industry", the forum aimed to establish a high-end platform connecting cutting-edge AI model technologies, application innovation and social value, to promote AI's safe, innovative and sustainable development.

Wu Dong, chief engineer of the Cyberspace Administration of China and Gerald Vernez, former Swiss Cyber Defense representative and chairman of the Digital Evolution Foundation, delivered speeches at the event.

More than 20 guests from government, industry, academia and research shared their insights on three key topics — AI model security and governance, technology and ecosystem, and application and industry development. They included Hu Zhenquan, president of 360 Digital Security Group; Zheng Shuiquan, professor and vice chair of the University Council, Renmin University of China; Christopher Millward, president and managing Director, USITO; Sheng Ruisheng, board secretary and brand director of Ping An Group; Zhang Dong, CEO of Wanlianyida Group; Liu Junjie, chairman of Yizhi Technology Co, Ltd and Tang Ning, chairman and CEO of Yiren Digital.

The guests agreed that the rapid evolution of AI technologies has brought new opportunities for economic growth and industrial upgrading. At the same time, they called for greater efforts in technological innovation, model governance, and global collaboration to ensure AI development remains secure, healthy and beneficial to society.

The forum was organized by the World Internet Conference and 360 Group, in association with Yinxiang Biji, DAS-Security and Sugon. As one of the AI-themed sub-forums of the 2025 Wuzhen Summit, the event drew more than 100 participants from government departments, international organizations, leading universities and renowned enterprises.
