The development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area means a huge responsibility for Guangdong and also presents a rare development opportunity for the province, Xi noted.

He urged efforts to deepen cooperation among Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and to support Hong Kong and Macao to better integrate into as well as serve the country's overall development.

Xi stressed that it is imperative to strengthen Party leadership and advance full and rigorous governance of the Party. He called for coordinated efforts to ensure officials do not dare, are not able, and have no desire to commit corruption, and create a sound development environment through clean and earnest governance.

Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, accompanied Xi on the inspection tour.
