Multinational logistics giant DHL Express unveiled its latest innovative technology and green solutions at the 8th China International Import Expo, as the grand event continues at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) until Nov 10.

A series of automation technologies, intelligent devices, and green logistics solutions were showcased, aiming to promote the transformation and upgrading of the logistics industry through "new quality productive forces".

One of the highlights at the exhibition is the automated guided vehicle, which works with a robotic arm to liberate manpower, reduce labor intensity, and ensure operational safety in an array of package handling and other scenarios.

In addition, utilizing advanced algorithms, the technology helps to improve internal operational efficiency and accuracy, which effectively responds to the growing demand for logistics services, such as e-commerce.

Moreover, an initiative to promote the purchase and usage of sustainable aviation fuel was introduced at the booth. The initiative includes the launching of a transportation service, GoGreen Plus, which provides customers with the option to use SAF to reduce carbon emissions.

From investing in SAFs to launching the "GoGreen Plus" service, DHL Express is deeply integrating sustainable development concepts into its business operations through full chain green innovation, committed to achieving net-zero emissions in logistics by 2050.

Wu Dongming, chief executive officer of DHL Express China, said CIIE is an important window for China to steadfastly promote and expand high-level opening up to the outside world.

Li Junfeng contributed to the story.
