Chinese mainland shares close higher
Chinese mainland shares closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.23 percent to 3969.25 points. The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.37 percent higher at 13223.56 points.
Services trade grows in first three quarters
China's services trade maintained steady growth in the first three quarters of the year, with total imports and exports reaching nearly 5.94 trillion yuan ($838 billion), up 7.6 percent year-on-year, according to the Ministry of Commerce. Specifically, services exports rose 14.4 percent to over 2.6 trillion yuan, while services imports increased 2.8 percent to over 3.33 trillion yuan, according to the ministry's data.
