China's Su Super League concluded over the weekend, capturing national attention and becoming an internet sensation. This league epitomizes the nation's thriving grassroots sports movement, which has been bolstered by significant investments over the past five years. According to Ding Dong, head of the Public Sports Bureau of the General Administration of Sport, China has allocated a total of 5.65 billion yuan ($794 million) during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025) to make public sports venues accessible to the public either for free or at low costs.
