Economic growth begins with reliable power, and Ningbo in Zhejiang province, exemplifies this by prioritizing infrastructure upgrades to boost local industries, improve residents' quality of life, and inject new momentum into rural revitalization and regional economic growth.

Leveraging its abundant hot spring resources, traditional villages, and forest landscapes, Ningbo is actively developing agricultural tourism, boutique homestays, and eco-leisure industries. Among its key projects is the Dazhuang Valley · Xianggen Yiye Complex, which features a hot spring hotel, an intangible cultural heritage museum, and a wellness center—aiming to become a premier hot spring and health tourism destination in the Yangtze River Delta. To ensure a stable power supply for its December opening, State Grid Ningbo Power Supply Company recently inspected the project's electrical systems.

To overcome power supply challenges in mountainous areas and enhance grid resilience and reliability—particularly for high-demand users such as hot spring hotels and wellness resorts—Ningbo has incorporated steel tower line upgrades into its "Strengthening the Foundation" special initiative. Following a "one line, one solution" approach, the city is replacing traditional wooden and concrete poles with steel towers, optimizing grid structures, and upgrading lightning protection systems.

For example, along the Shenzhuan power line, key renovation work scheduled for completion in 2025 includes the construction of 29 new steel towers, 40 new concrete poles, 23.76 kilometers of upgraded lines, and the installation of three quantum switches. These improvements have significantly increased power reliability—reducing outage rates even during severe weather that once caused frequent line trips, thereby ensuring the stable operation of the local hot spring industry.

The multiplier effect of these power upgrades continues to emerge: steel towers now rise more densely among the mountains, and rural power flows more steadily through the valleys. With infrastructure enhancement as its foundation and precision service as its driving force, Ningbo is powering the prosperity of its "City of Hot Springs" and energizing the path toward rural revitalization and shared prosperity with a steady current of electric vitality.
