Nubia unveils latest AI-powered smartphone


In a bid to grab a bigger slice of the pie in the highly competitive consumer electronics market, Chinese smartphone manufacturer Nubia Technology has unveiled its latest artificial intelligence-powered smartphone, the Z80 Ultra, as the company relies on technological innovation to attract more customers.
Ni Fei, president of Nubia Technology, said innovation has always been a crucial part of the company's DNA and the driving force behind its continuous advancements, adding that the newly launched device integrates professional imaging tools with an exceptional gaming experience.
The handset features an improved capacity for photography, integrating multimodal AI models that can intelligently recognize shooting scenes, and is targeting game enthusiasts with a 6.85-inch OLED display panel supporting a 144Hz refresh rate — bringing a smoother and more immersive gaming experience.
Industry experts said that the next two or three years will be key in bolstering the application of AI technology in electronic devices. AI capabilities on smartphones and other electronic products will drive upgrades and represent a significant opportunity for both vendors and application developers alike.
