Pact with UN nuclear watchdog scrapped
Iran has scrapped a cooperation deal it signed with the International Atomic Energy Agency last month, a senior security official said on Monday. The deal allowed the United Nations' nuclear watchdog resume inspections of Iran's nuclear sites, if Western powers reinstated UN sanctions. Those were reinstated last month. "The agreement has been canceled," Ali Larijani, secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, said while meeting with his Iraqi counterpart in Tehran, according to state media. "Of course, if the agency has a proposal, we will review it in the secretariat," he added.
