The Uzbekistan segment of the 32nd China Yangling Agricultural High-Tech Fair concluded in Tashkent on Oct 19. As a key effort to boost agricultural collaboration under the Belt and Road Initiative, the international exhibition achieved significant results, standing out as a highlight in China-Uzbekistan farm technology and trade exchanges.

The event highlighted the agricultural complementarity between the two countries through five specialized sections. Over 130 Chinese enterprises participated.

The expo attracted numerous local agricultural firms and nearly a thousand buyers and professionals from Uzbekistan and neighboring regions. Several cooperation agreements were made on-site, with initial estimates showing commitments worth 60 million yuan ($8.4 million).

Chinese companies showcased advanced solutions, including smart greenhouses, integrated water-fertilizer systems, and agricultural IoT technologies.

The event also included B2B matchmaking sessions where companies discussed cooperation in fig cultivation, viticulture, winemaking, primary agricultural processing, and trade logistics.
