Singapore’s president: “US–China Edge” drives shared prosperity

Government officials and central bank governors are attending the IMF/World Bank annual meetings in Washington this week. Amid rising frictions over tariffs, technology and geopolitics between the United States and China, Singapore’s President Tharman Shanmugaratnam used the IMF-World Bank meetings in Washington to advance the “US-China Edge” — a call to seek common interests where competition meets cooperation and to turn rivalry into innovation.
